Introducing Tai Chi classes in 2012!

The meditative movements of Tai Chi can reduce tension, increase flexibility and strength, and improve circulation and balance. If you're looking for another way to reduce stress, consider tai chi (TIE-chee). Tai chi is sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements connecting the mind and body. Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, tai chi evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's used for stress reduction and to help with a variety of other health conditions.

The Dojo is proud to announce our new Pre-Skills program!

This 30-minute class is perfect for your 3 to 4 year olds. During Pre-Skills class, children will learn the basics of karate, stranger danger, following directions, improving coordination, and all while having fun!

Introducing a new Teen Self-Defense class!

A martial arts based 1 hour class that will teach teens valuable and practical self-defense skills. Having the knowledge and empowerment to defend and protect themselves, should they need to, can translate into a teen's personal life and be expressed as confidence and a strong sense of self. Teens will be taught how to be responsible with the skills that they learn and appropriate boundaries regarding their use will be clearly defined. Mom and Dads rest assured knowing your teens will be able to handle what comes their way! This class will benefit all teens regardless of whether or not they have martial arts experience. Register today! Class begins November 1st 2011 Class meets every Tuesday 5:30-6:25pm.
